NCAA Tournament: Final Four Average Seed Rankings

For the first time ever the NCAA Tournament’s Final Four doesn’t include any teams seeded #1 or #2.  It should be no surprise that this year’s Final Four’s average seed (6.5) is the highest ever.

Notes: In last five years the average seed in the Final Four is 2.8.

The NCAA started seeding teams in 1979.
